About the Artist
Alecia Barry Underhill has channeled her love of animals and nature into the pursuit of capturing them on canvas, seeking out the personalities at a horse show, the cow barn, or the chicken coop. She puts an emphasis on capturing light and expression, to make the view see something within a creature that they might not otherwise notice. Focusing mainly on domestic animals and backyard wildlife, she is interested in the relationship these animals have to human beings.
