Come join us to learn how to create landscapes based on the “emotional content” for personal and genuine response to a scene. TVOA's Artist-in-Residence, Hannah Jung, professional artist/educator, will guide students through step by step demo to create atmospheric landscapes using photo references as inspirational resources.
All levels are welcome. Students will leave this class with a finished piece and ready to experiment more on their own. Students will be pointed toward meaningful, personal, artistic growth.
Instruction fees will be covered by the grant from the American Savings Foundation.
Participants will be responsible for the Studio Material Fee only: $50. per participant

Qualification: Senior residents (age 65 or older) of the Town of Bethlehem, Canton, Middlebury, Southbury, Thomaston, Torrington, Watertown, and Woodbury. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Location: Youth Ministry Building, First Congregational Church of Litchfield (21 Torrington Rd., Litchfield)

Schedule: Five-week class meetings (2 hours/session, a total of 10 instructional hours): Tuesdays (2:30-4:30pm), Oct 18, 25, Nov. 1, 8, and 15th.

Participants: up to 8 seniors per class (Tues/Wed), on a first-come, first-served basis.

Studio material fee of $50. TVOA will order the supply and all participants will share the materials in the class.
